How to find the QR code for PolyU entrance?

If you search email by "PolyU", There should be emails with the subject "Campus Access Registration for Bulk Application". Check your spam folders as well. Check the date to be 30 Jan - 1 Feb, and you are good to go.

Will meals be provided?

Unfortunately not! But the Polytechnic University campus and the surrounding area has quite a lot of accessible food options. You’ll also be able to order delivery too!

What do I need to bring to GGJHK?

Just yourself and anything else you may need to develop a game! Generally this includes a laptop, tablet for artists, and etc. We also recommend bringing warm clothing for the winter weather.

What if I don’t have a laptop?

Unfortunately we don’t have additional laptops or computers to lend out, but GGJHK still accepts board game projects so consider developing a tabletop game instead!

Who is eligible to participate?

Anybody can participate so come join us on-site! For participants under 18 years old though, please contact us at [email protected] for arrangements. Are there any registration or participant fees? Nope, it’s completely free thanks to our sponsors! If you would like to support GGJHK, pre-order our exclusive t-shirt here before 11:59 PM on Thursday, January 9th!

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes, there is! For security and safety considerations, GGJHK will close participant registration at 11:59 PM on Thursday, January 9th to provide adequate time for the venue to prepare visitor passes for all participants.

What if I’m not sure if I can attend?

We recommend you to still register anyways! If you end up unable to attend, simply let us know.

I haven’t made a game before, can I join?

Everybody’s welcome regardless of experience! If you’re still unconfident, why not attend one of our pre-GGJHK workshops? Check out the events page for more details.
